PRS Silver Sky Maple
“It’s been a dream of mine for years to design a guitar that includes some of my favorite vintage specifications but with a modern spirit and aesthetic. After two years of study and refinement, the Silver Sky is my vision of what a reboot of the electric guitar should look and feel like.” – John Mayer
The Silver Sky came out of a close partnership between Grammy Award-winning artist John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. Over two years, they took their favorite details from 1963 and 1964 single-coil guitars and refined each one with a modern eye. The result is the vintage single-coil guitar, perfected. Every detail adds up, and it stands apart from both today’s guitars and the originals that inspired it!
Pick one up and it feels like an old favorite: warm, familiar and comfortable from the first chord. It still has the precision and finesse of a brand-new instrument. That’s the balance John and Paul were after, and it shows!
