The SE 277 is PRS's baritone, and it's built for heavy, aggressive playing with a long 27.7" scale. But it's no one-trick pony! The 85/15 "S" pickups were designed for remarkable clarity with extended highs and lows, so it handles blues and funk with flair too.
Rock a clean tone, pick bass lines under higher melodies on one guitar, or chug out the heaviest drop-tuned riffs. The 85/15 "S" humbuckers are uncovered, and a push/pull tone knob gives you single-coil sounds as well. A string-through plate-style bridge with individual saddles adds strong, resonant tone and good intonation, and PRS-designed tuners with wing buttons hold it all steady. The Wide Fat maple neck has a rosewood fretboard with bird inlays, and the flame maple veneer is finished in Charcoal Burst. It ships tuned B to B with a PRS gig bag. Premier Guitar said they "couldn't find a dang thing wrong" with it, and we think you'll agree!
