Description
Korg’s original wavestate synth earned praise for expanding on the classic 1990 Wavestation with advanced real-time sample manipulation and synthesis features. The wavestate MKII pushes creative boundaries further by blending subtractive synthesis, groove boxes, drum machines, and algorithmic composition. It lets you save presets as Set Lists for quick access and features Smooth Sound Transitions to keep notes ringing after switching patches. Improvements include increased polyphony from 64 to 96 voices, 15 new performances, 43 additional presets, and extensive updates to hundreds of existing sounds.
Wave Sequencing 2.0 builds on the original Korg Wavestation’s ability to turn raw samples into unique sounds with rich pads and rhythmic textures. It appeared before in Korg’s OASYS and KRONOS keyboards and now returns in the wavestate MKII with even more sound-shaping options. Unlike the original’s fixed step sequence, Wave Sequencing 2.0 lets you control sample sequence, timing, and pitch separately, creating complex patches that evolve over time. Each parameter has its own "Lane" with adjustable steps and loop points, and lanes can randomize step order for unpredictable, dynamic results.
