This Limited Edition Electromatic Jet is all Gretsch power and fidelity, with iconic style and serious playability. It covers everything from big, clean tones to fiery overdrive, right at your fingertips!
The star here is black limba. The chambered black limba body has a bound, carved black limba top, and the neck is black limba too. This exotic wood looks one-of-a-kind and sounds great, with a smooth, rich midrange and plenty of presence and clarity. Sculpted forearm and body contours make it comfortable to play for hours, and a rounded heel gives you easy access all the way up the neck.
The Performance "C" neck has tapered shoulders and just enough mass to feel solid in every position. On top is a bound ebony fretboard with a 12" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. Ebony feels smooth and fast and adds bell-like clarity. A Graph Tech NuBone nut keeps it in tune through the longest, roughest gigs.
Two PureVolt Twin Six humbuckers (Alnico IV in the neck, Alnico V in the bridge) each have twelve adjustable pole pieces, and they're wax-potted to keep noise down. You get a master volume with treble bleed and a tone knob for each pickup. Pull up either tone knob to split that pickup to a true single coil, and in the middle position the two single coils team up as a hum-cancelling pair. The Lockdown locking wraparound bridge has adjustable saddles for spot-on intonation, and its locking posts give you rock-solid tuning, big sustain and easy string changes. Finished in high-gloss Sunburst with the split-V headstock and gold hardware, it's a stunner!
