Gretsch's Streamliner Collection takes the best ideas from the past and pairs them with new features, so you get real Gretsch performance, sound and style at a great price. The G2420 single-cut hollow body is made for players who want something beyond the usual, with modern sonics, updated electronics and that Great Gretsch Sound!
The fully hollow arched maple body uses parallel tone bars for a rich, full, resonant "big-body" sound. The new Broad'Tron BT-3S humbuckers combine Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets for stronger mids, tight but full lows and smooth, clear highs that stay musical.
The controls are classic Gretsch: a volume for each pickup, master tone, master volume and a three-way switch. Pull up the master volume knob to split the coils and get useful single-coil sounds too. The soft "C" Nato neck has a 12" radius laurel fingerboard with pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets, plus a real bone nut. Radio knobs, an Adjusto-Matic bridge on a secured laurel base, a Chromatic II tailpiece, a three-ply tortoise pickguard and nickel hardware complete the look. And that Cadillac Green finish is a classic!
