Postmodern Telecaster Journeyman
The Postmodern Tele blends the unmistakable look and feel of a vintage classic with thoughtful modern refinements, delivering exceptional tone, comfort, and versatility without being tied to any specific era. Its two-piece ash body features a Journeyman Relic® lacquer finish for the appearance and feel of a well-loved instrument, while the contoured neck heel provides effortless access to the upper frets.
The quartersawn maple neck is carved to a comfortable '60-style Oval "C" profile and is paired with a 9.5" radius quartersawn maple fingerboard fitted with 21 narrow tall (6105) frets, offering a familiar vintage-inspired feel with modern playability.
A hand-wound '51 Nocaster bridge pickup and CuNiFe Wide Range neck humbucker deliver everything from classic Tele twang to rich, full-bodied warmth. Dual-Stack HS Tele wiring, an angled pickup selector switch, and an Electrosocket output jack provide enhanced functionality while maintaining a clean, traditional appearance.
Additional premium appointments include a three-ply black pickguard, a '58–'63 Tele bridge with compensated brass RSD saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, a bone nut, and a wing string tree. The guitar also includes a deluxe hardshell case, strap, and Certificate of Authenticity.

FENDER CUSTOM SHOP
A Fender Custom Shop instrument is extraordinary. You know it when you play one—it’s definitely more than the sum of its parts. It’s filled with intangible, electrifying elements that add a new dimension to your playing experience. It’s as if the instrument itself is imbued with history, alive with the spirit of the place where it was built and the devotion of those who crafted it.
The Custom Shop is home to Fender’s most skilled and talented builders. It’s a bustling, noisy and creatively volcanic place that re-earns its nickname—the Dream Factory—every day. Custom Shop builders are completely dedicated to their art—part craftsman, part artist, part music fan and, more often than not, part mad scientist. They’re the best at what they do, and they pour all of their passion, hard-earned knowledge and skill into every instrument they build. It’s no ordinary place, and the creations that come from it are no ordinary instruments. This is Fender Custom Shop.
