Fender Custom Shop Special Edition Dual Stack HS Telecaster Relic, 3A Rosewood Fingerboard – Green Sparkle Top with Natural Body
This Special Edition Dual Stack HS Tele takes the Custom Shop's Custom Deluxe Tele and gives it a hot-rodded twist, pairing a twangy hand-wound Tele bridge pickup with the punch and sparkle of a TV Jones neck pickup. It's built for players who want real Custom Shop vibe with a little more range than a traditional Tele.
The sorted okoume body wears a Green Sparkle top with dark-tinted, aged natural back and sides, all finished in nitrocellulose lacquer and given the full Relic treatment. A 1-ply parchment white binding outlines the top, and checking, dings and worn edges give it the look and feel of a guitar that's spent decades on the road. The 3-ply mint green pickguard completes the vintage-meets-glitter look.
In the bridge is a Custom Shop hand-wound Twisted Tele single-coil, delivering bright, cutting twang with plenty of body. In the neck, a TV Jones TV Classic brings warm, articulate Filter'Tron-style tone with extra clarity and growl. Dual Stack HS Tele wiring, a 3-way switch with a relic'd top hat tip and knurled chrome knobs keep things simple, so you can go from snappy chicken-pickin' to fat rock rhythm with one flick.
The quartersawn maple neck is shaped to a '65 Strat "C" profile (.820" at the 1st fret, .974" at the 12th) and finished in dark-tinted nitrocellulose lacquer with Relic wear that feels smooth and played-in. It's paired with a sorted dark 3A rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius, 22 narrow-tall frets, white Micarta dots, a bone nut and a Bi-Flex truss rod.
Hardware includes a relic'd Custom Deluxe Tele bridge, Ping American Professional staggered tuners, relic'd chrome strap locks and a vintage-style serialized neck plate, all aged to match.
This Dual Stack HS Telecaster Relic includes a black Fender Custom Shop hardshell case and certificate of authenticity, and it's a great fit for players who want a Custom Shop Tele that stands out on stage and sounds every bit as good as it looks.
