Fender Custom Shop American Custom Stratocaster, NOS – Crimson Burst
This American Custom Stratocaster takes the timeless Strat blueprint and pushes it forward with premium materials, expanded tonal options, and an upscale aesthetic that still feels unmistakably Fender. It's built for players who want vintage inspiration paired with genuinely modern refinement.
The 2-piece select ash body has an offset seam and a deep contoured heel for effortless upper-fret access. Finished in a rich Crimson Burst with an NOS (New Old Stock) treatment, the guitar keeps its finish clean and glossy so the figured ash grain and deep red burst can shine, without any artificial aging. A black phenolic pickguard plays off the burst for a sharper, more boutique look.
Tone comes from a trio of Custom Shop hand-wound Underwound '69 single-coil pickups, delivering the airy top-end, scooped mids, and articulate attack of late-'60s Strats, with a slightly reduced output that adds extra touch sensitivity and harmonic depth. Clean tones feel open and glassy, while overdriven tones stay defined and chimey rather than compressed. A 1/2 blend control expands the classic Strat palette further, letting you blend the neck pickup into the bridge and bridge/middle positions for tones you won't get on a standard Strat.
The roasted 3A flame maple neck is shaped to a comfortable '65 Strat "C" profile and finished in nitrocellulose lacquer for a smooth, natural feel. It's paired with a 3A rosewood fingerboard, a compound 9.5"–12" radius, and 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets for effortless, modern playability with a distinctly Fender character. The stainless frets add durability and slickness, while the roasted maple adds stability and resonance.
Hardware includes an RSD Strat tremolo with vintage-style steel saddles, vintage-style tuners, and a contoured neck plate — every detail chosen to balance looks, comfort, and performance.
This American Custom Stratocaster includes a deluxe hardshell case, and is a great fit for players who want a Custom Shop Strat that pushes the platform forward while still sounding and feeling like unmistakable Fender.
