The Fender American Vintage II series delivers a remarkably accurate recreation of the revolutionary designs that shaped musical history. Built with period-accurate bodies, necks, and hardware, premium finishes, and meticulously voiced year-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone. During the late 1950s and early 1960s, Fender instruments flourished in popularity. While the lineup expanded with many excellent new models, the Stratocaster reigned supreme. By 1961, the Stratocaster had evolved into a more refined instrument, featuring a reformulated 3-Color Sunburst with a more vibrant red and bolder black edge, complemented by a 3-ply pickguard that accentuates the Strat's signature curves.
This American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster features a premium alder body, three Pure Vintage 1961 Stratocaster pickups, and a medium "C"-shaped maple neck paired with a 7.25" radius slab rosewood fingerboard. It reproduces the quintessential tone and feel of the original, with a vintage-accurate synchronized tremolo featuring a cold rolled steel block and bent steel saddles, single-line Fender Deluxe tuners, and 3-ply pickguard.
