The Surveyor-204DX takes a classic ESP bass shape and builds it with LTD quality at a price that's hard to beat. It's part of the DX range ESP introduced at NAMM 2026, and it makes a great step up from a first bass or a dependable workhorse for the gig!
The lightweight, resonant poplar body wears a burled poplar top, and the knots and figured grain show right through the transparent Black Burst finish. The bolt-on roasted maple neck feels smooth and comfortable, with a rosewood fingerboard and 21 extra-jumbo frets on a 34" scale. Up front you get an ESP LPD in the neck and an ESP LJB in the bridge, with controls for volume, balance and tone boost, so it's easy to dial in anything from a round, deep low end to a punchy, focused attack. Black hardware, LTD vintage tuners and an LTD DB-4 fixed bridge round it out.
