gretsch-jim-dandy-concert-walnut-fingerboard-rex-burst
Gretsch Jim Dandy Concert, Walnut Fingerboard - Rex Burst

Metronome Music is a proud Gretsch dealer. This instrument is brand new and carries a full warranty from the manufacturer. Please feel free to reach out to us with any special requests or questions. We are always happy to help!

The Jim Dandy line is inspired by the "Rex" flat-tops Gretsch sold through mail-order catalogs in the 1930s, '40s and '50s. These guitars capture the charm of those early Gretsch acoustics, with the easy playability and great tone their name promises!

The Concert has a comfortable, compact concert body and a modest 24.75" scale, which makes it a sweet spot of versatile tone and easy playing for all kinds of music. The X-braced body is built from select lightweight laminate tonewoods, so you get woody vintage tone with reliable durability. The "C" shape neck is inviting for hours of old-timey picking.

The period details are what make it: a vintage-style pinned bridge, a "G" graphic pickguard, painted pinstripe purfling, 3-on-a-plate open-gear tuners and oversized dot inlays. It's just as happy with bluesy porch pickin' as speakeasy swing, and it's a great companion for beginners and longtime players alike!

Specifications:

Body: Concert shape, laminated basswood top, back and sides, semi-gloss finish

Bracing: X-bracing

Body depth: 4.2" (11 cm)

Body length: 19" (483 mm)

Rosette: White/black rings

Binding: Aged white

Neck: Nato, "C" shape, aged white binding, semi-gloss finish

Fingerboard: Walnut, 12" radius, 20 vintage frets (14 to the body), white pearloid dot inlays

Scale length: 24.75" (629 mm)

Nut: Synthetic bone, 1.6875" (42.86 mm) wide

Headstock: 1950s Gretsch 3x3

Bridge: Walnut with compensated saddle

Tuners: Open-gear die-cast

Pickguard: 1-ply white with "G" graphic

Hardware: Nickel

Strings: D'Addario EJ16 phosphor bronze, light (.012-.053)

Truss rod: 4 mm hex

Case: Not included

Photos are manufacturer stock images.

Come see it and play it for yourself in Mansfield!
