For playing recorded music during breaks, there's a line input for CD playback with a mute switch that kills the mic inputs without muting the CD - a feature that along with a Karaoke track select switch (channel 9/10) makes this a great mixer for the KJ's and DJ's. The 8600 also features a 7-band graphic EQ with Peavey's FLS feedback locating system for "ringing out the room."
